Must demonstrate outstanding performance in positively representing the institution to key members of the community. Identify, cultivate and solicit individuals and organizations capable of making major ($25,000 plus) and principal gifts ($100,000+) in support of Western Connecticut Health Network. Maintain a portfolio of approximately 50 - 100 current and prospective donors with a primary focus on $100,000 or above. Maintain effective relations with donors, prospects, board members and volunteers. Serve as a key member of the fundraising team participating in developing strategies to achieve department-wide goals. Acts as development office liaison to one or more assigned clinical service departments, furthering effective communication with physicians and other staff to identify, cultivate and close gifts from grateful patients.
Bachelor Degree and minimum of seven years or more job-related experience. Bachelor degree with a minimum of 5 years of development experience. Fundraising experience must include a track record of securing principal and major gifts ($100,000 and above). Preferred: Previous experience in healthcare philanthropy. Hours: 40 control hours.
