Job Summary

Western Connecticut Medical Group is seeking a Staff Physician for their Ridgefield Primary Care Practice in Ridgefield, CT. We are seeking a full-time BC or BE IM/Peds (double boarded) or Family Medicine Physician to work in a well-established primary care practice that currently has 9 experienced providers (Physician, PA and behavioral health, 4 of which are IM/Peds Physicians). The practice is in a brand new state of the art 10,000 sq. foot facility with fully implemented EMR located 45 miles north of NYC within a picturesque New England town. It has a very strong sense of community, abundance of outdoor activities, proximity to theater, sports & cultural centers, and nationally renowned public schools which makes this a tremendous location in which to practice primary care medicine.

This location is a NCQA certified level 3, Patient Centered Medical Home.  We have the ability to coordinate primary care and specialty care needs with the advanced diagnostic and treatment services available through our network of over 385 physicians and 3 member hospitals: Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, and Norwalk Hospital.

Job Summary:

Provide medical care to patients in an outpatient setting, assist them to recover from acute illnesses and minimize the effects of chronic illnesses. Teaching opportunities are possible for some roles.

Job Requirements

  • MD or DO with CT Controlled Substances and Federal DEA Registration
  • Have successfully completed an Internal Medicine AND Pediatric Residency or Family Medicine Residency and be Board Certified or Board Eligible.
  • Flexible weekday schedules between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm.  Full Time position with a minimum 37.5 hours available for patient contact including one weekend in six (9-1 Saturday and Sunday). Call responsibilities shared with providers from multiple locations.
