Excellent Outpatient Psychiatry Opening in Norwalk, Connecticut (50 miles from New York City) with Leadership and Academic Roles Possible
Western Connecticut Medical Group is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist for our outpatient office at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut. Norwalk is located in Fairfield County about 50 miles northeast of New York City. Our established and busy practice has seven psychiatrists and two nurse practitioners. Position is outpatient based with some weekend inpatient coverage. Weekend coverage is shared with a nurse practitioner. This can also be a teaching position for those who are interested. There is also a potential leadership opportunity for our Intensive Outpatient Program and Community Psychiatry Program for qualified and interested applicants.
The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in psychiatry. Spanish speaking a plus. This is an employed position with a highly competitive compensation package, including allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses and relocation. There is additional call pay for weekend coverage.
Western Connecticut Health Network includes Norwalk, Danbury, and New Milford Hospitals in addition to our Medical Group, which has over 70 outpatient practice locations. Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with the Yale University School of Medicine, New York Medical College and Ross University School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 400+ physicians and 140+ advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.

CT State License, Federal DEA, CT Controlled Substance Registration.
Successfully completed Psychiatry residency.
Board Certified or Board Eligible.
Preferred: Prior experience as a staff physician.
Spanish speaking a plus.
