Assumes 24-hour accountability for administrative and clinical activities of a specific clinical area or areas. Ensures that his/her unit demonstrates outcomes that meet or exceed quality and customer satisfaction standards, provides seamless delivery of care and maintains competitive cost structures. Collaborates with others to achieve the hospital's strategic objectives and mission. The Patient Care Manager serves as the direct link between the hospital's strategies and the staff on the patient care team.
BSN required. Experience in Labor & Delivery preferred. 3-5 years of Management experience required.
State of CT Registered Nurse License required. Demonstrated ability to direct a large, diverse work force in a 24-hour operational environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and to implement and support change. Knowledgeable in budgeting, resource allocation and quality improvement processes. Demonstrated ability to promote team-building, leadership and professionalism through performance. Excellent communication skills. Well-developed organizational, analytical and project management skills.
